This original artwork illustrated of the beautiful Nina Simone was created to represent the tenderness, the shine, the softness, the glow and the sheer abundance of talent and knowledge she shared with us during her time. Nina was not only a multi-talented classical artist (unrecognised for many years for her undeniable profound talent), she was also a civil rights activist; befriending the likes of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and more. Miss Simone was devastated to hear of their assassinations, and her rightful rage inspired many of her politically driven songs. She was denied of many accolades that she should have been given access to achieve ten times over with her unique skills, and yet over-excelled and beyond achieved her place in the Jazz scene despite previous doors closing in her face. This is my tribute to a wondrously, miraculously, profoundly intelligent woman; NINA SIMONE! This is the original artwork, available for just one of you lovely people!
