This is a tribute of the beautiful Terry Hall who unfortunately passed away just recently. 

The specials are a classic British Ska band who stand for many humanitarian movements; black lives matter, feminism, anti-War, and more. With them constantly collaborating with musicians to bring further unity to their communities and to offer the mic to people outside of their own band. They've always stood against racism, just as the ska movement has full stop, and have united many people with their catchy tunes and thought-provoking lyrics. With songs such as 'Ghost town', 'black lives matter', 'the ten commandments', 'listening wind' and more!

I was gutted to hear about Terry Hall's passing. The Specials have and continue to shape many of my core memories, dancing to their tunes way past closing time in local pubs, listening to them while i get ready to go out out, listening to them while I paint and so on! They're a band for everyone. RIP Terry Hall. This is an original tribute dedicated to Terry, drawn in fineliner of a photograph taken of him by an unknown source, during one of his performances likely before my time in I'd say mid 90's? I really liked how natural the photo was of him, and so I added some ska related patterns in the background to further compliment his admirable being. This original drawing is available, just for one of you special people!
