I saw Thundercat at Greenman in 2021, and was so immersed with his groovy performance.
He took the stage in his effervescent shimmery yellow suit that shined off the stage as it hit the spotlight, and he jammed so effortlessly to the deconstructive jazz that radiated from his bass. He mentioned his love for cats which stole my heart all the more ;)
So, I thought I would create an interpretation of him with a mesh of all of what I received from his persona when watching him take the stage. And ofcourse, with his very own pet cat laying across his shoulders, how could i not include that?!
This artwork was created with fineliner, marker pen and coloured pencil to create this colourful and groovy print, just for you x
